What is mini dvds?

Mini DVDs (or Mini DVD-R) are smaller in size compared to traditional DVDs, with a diameter of 8 cm (3.15 inches). They were introduced in 1999 as a form of recordable optical disc media and were commonly used for camcorders and other recording devices.

Mini DVDs have a capacity of 1.4 GB and can hold up to 30 minutes of high-quality video or 2 hours of standard quality video. They are compatible with most DVD players and can be played back on computers with DVD drives.

However, mini DVDs are not as widely used today as they used to be, as most recording devices have switched to digital formats such as SD cards or internal memory. Additionally, some DVD players may not be compatible with mini DVDs, and they are more susceptible to damage due to their smaller size.
